News The Global Commodity Issues Research Group: A Joint Meeting with Doshisha University Real Option Research Group

The Global Commodity Issues Research Group (GCIRG) of Kyoto University held a joint research meeting with Doshisha University Real Option Research Group (RORG) in Fusoukan Imadegawa Campus Doshisha University on January 19, 2023.
 
Keiji Sakakibara, a doctoral student at GSAIS, presented research on quantitative models and economic evaluations on risks and investment strategies in wave power generation.
Then, Motoh Tsujimura, a professor at Doshisha University, presented his research on evaluating the investment value of thermal power generation capacity under the ambiguity of electric power and capacity markets using the real options approach.
During the joint research meeting, various opinions and discussions were actively exchanged led by Takashi Kanamura, an associate professor at GSAIS, who presides over the GCRG. It was an opportunity for meaningful input and academic exchange for the participants.
 
The RORG is led by Motoh Tsujimura, conducting academic and practical research using the real options approach.
