Requirements for advancement to the third year
To advance to the third year, students must earn the required credits, receive research guidance, write a thesis equivalent to a Master’s thesis, receive a passing grade, and pass the GSAIS examinations.
Requirements for completion
Students are required to prepare and present a research plan as a QE during the first semester of the third year.
- Students must complete at least 8 credits of common classes (12 credits for those enrolled in the Social Practice Course in addition to the common classes), receive the necessary research guidance, and pass the dissertation defense and examination at GSAIS.
- Students must have a TOEFL-iBT score of 80 or higher or an IELTS overall band score of 6.0 or higher to complete the program.
Requirements for completion for third-year transfer students
Students are required to prepare and present a research plan as a QE during the first semester of the third year.
- Students must complete at least 8 credits of common classes (12 credits for those enrolled in the Social Practice Course in addition to the common classes) and 8 credits in the Convergence Knowledge Courses, receive the necessary research guidance, and pass the dissertation defense and examination at GSAIS.
- Students must have a TOEFL-iBT score of 80 or higher or an IELTS overall band score of 6.0 or higher to complete the program.
