How I Can Apply What I Learn at Shishu-Kan

In GSAIS, indeed most of my time will be spent in research, but unlike
other doctor programs I can take in Japan even around the
world, GSAIS teaches me more than just academics. For me, the program
showed me what a small leadership is and how I can be able to develop such
leadership. “Small” leadership, as it written, is not the leadership that
leads towards huge success. It’s the type of leadership that leaders
possess to others during daily interactions. In other words, it is the
leadership that made them the leader in the eyes of others. GSAIS brings me
these chances to develop such skill through living and discussing with my
peers, who are also competitors in leadership, in the same environment so
that we are basically competing each other from day and night. This is
something other programs cannot provide, and hard to develop.

Research Topic

Biggest image: I do research in promoting psychological health as a basic
health issue that everyone need and has the awareness to take care of.
Bigger image: I am going to develop alternative methods towards lowering
the overall stress level in normal people — the biggest cause of most
psychological disease — than traditional counselings. By doing that I
hope to reduce the overall cost of maintaining mental health in the general
population.
Current project: I am right now doing research towards reducing overall
stress level of Chinese international students, and I am hope to find a new
way through the help of the modern Internet technology.
