Who I am
I graduated from Whitman College with a bachelor in psychology. After graduating from Whitman College, I attended intensive coding boot camp for four months. I wrote my senior thesis on second language learning in children and college students. At Shishukan, I hope to improve my skills and knowledge to solve global problems from different perspectives.
My research focuses on learning strategies. I’m especially interested in active learning and how we could increase students’ motivation to learn. With changes in the society, students need different skills and knowledge from past years. Therefore, it is important to compare passive learning and active learning to investigate the most effective way to learn.
